Solecta adds Dan Burrows as New Director of Quality & Reliability

Oceanside, CA, March 21, 2019 – Solecta, a global leader in process membrane technology and solutions, announces the appointment of Dan Burrows as Director of Quality and Reliability today. In this role, Mr. Burrows will be responsible for the Solecta Quality Management System, QC testing and solidifying the reliability planning/improvement/testing capability at Solecta.

Dan comes to Solecta from a division of Becton Dickinson, a leading medical device company, where he built the Quality and Reliability team and quality program and established new methods for medical device reliability testing and verification. Prior to Becton Dickinson, he was at Shure Labs, a leading audio equipment firm where he reinvigorated a global team of reliability and quality engineers, lab managers, and lab technicians to implement Lean 5S, Standard Work, and Scheduled Maintenance programs in test labs and to reduce product validation and verification test time by half.

Dan has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas and an MBA from Dallas Baptist University, also in Dallas, Texas. He also holds several ASQ certifications for Quality and Reliability, including Reliability Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, as well as Lean certification. Dan has been a member and actively involved in the American Society for Quality since 1993.
